PFP and Celebration
At the PFP, we celebrate the community that comes together around good food, and always enjoy opportunities to gather, whether buying plants at our spring open house, volunteering on the farm or in the meditation or seed gardens, participating in a SkillShare or discussion about food politics, catching a film about food and farming, or sharing a meal together at our annual fall member potluck.
Soup-A-Bowl is our annual soup luncheon that celebrates food and art in Poughkeepsie. We team up with local restaurants, potters (amateur potters are invited to improve their skills at Bowl-A-Thon pottery classes) and other community partners to create this fun event that celebrates good food while improving access to it – proceeds support Food Share that provides low income families with tons of fresh food each year and life changing experiences learning about food and farming.
Create your own celebratory and memorable event by hosting a Share the Harvest dinner or event featuring PFP produce – share good food with your friends, tell them what your involvement with the community food security movement means to you and invite them to join with you in supporting it.
