Yokatta-Na

Yokatta-Na is a  quick-growing and versatile Chinese leafy green. Similar to bok choy, this green tolerates both heat and cold so it can extend your season at either end AND broaden your culinary range. Use it either raw in salad mixes or cooked in stir fries. The deep green tender leaves, though flavorful, lack the mustard “bite” found in so many Asian greens and can be harvested as a cut-and-come-again crop or at maturity. When young and fresh, these leaves are great simply dressed with some olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, salt and pepper. Yokatta-Na is also delicious (and nutritious) steamed or sauteed.
