Strawberry Pie

Ingredients
| 1 | q | strawberries |
| 1 | c | sugar |
| 4 | T | cornstarch |
| 1⁄2 | c | water |
| 1 | 9 in. pastry shell (baked) | |
| 8 | oz | heavy cream (or pre-whipped cream) |
Instructions
Heat oven to 375. Bake pie shell in middle rack for 10-15 minutes, or until pie crust is golden brown. Set aside.
Mash half of the berries. In a bowl mix the water and cornstarch. Once thoroughly dissolved, add the sugar and mashed berries to the cornstarch mixture. Cook mixture in a saucepan over medium heat until the mixture turns clear. Remove from heat.
Once the mixture is cool, add remaining berries. Pour filling into the pie shell and chill. Garnish with whipped cream.
