Hometown: Grew up in Carmel, New York and now consider the City of Poughkeepsie my home!
Areas of Expertise: I continuously love learning about sustainable gardening and farming, indoor/outdoor plants, how to heal with plants, composting and natural building methods
Areas of Education: I have a degree in accounting and left that life for full time farming! I am certified in permaculture design. Endlessly studying herbal medicine forever and ever! I just finished up a natural building workshop in April 2024. I began my NYC Master Composter training but unfortunately it was defunded by the Mayor Adams of NYC in 2023. I’m hoping a can return to that one day to become a master composter
Favorite veggie: Zucchini, honey nut squash and all the legumes
Guilty pleasures: Hoarding house plants and anything that can be recycled and given a new life….one day….
After Hours You’ll Find Me: Sewing, gardening making weird sculptures, redesigning my apartment…. Again…
Why do you want to work at PFP?: I love working at PFP because I feel like I am a part of the Poughkeepsie community and I love PFP’s consciousness around food justice and education.
